Here are a few photographs of the outside
of the Leather District Lofts.
Back in the day, Boston’s Leather District was just
that, the boisterous and busy area of town where textiles
were made and leather was cured. As the city’s economy
evolved, these industries moved to the suburbs. They left behind attractive factories
and warehouses.
The Leather District buildings have been converted into
sleek, high-ceilinged, urban lofts which are home to artists,
professionals and those who snap their fingers to an urban
beat. The Leather District is a vibrant, close-knit urban
community. The neighborhood boasts unique boutiques, gourmet
and ethnic markets, galleries, restaurants and nightclubs.
There is always something exciting to do and somewhere fun
to go, even on a Tuesday night.
If you get a craving for Dim Sum, Chinatown is nearby and
so is Boston’s shopping Mecca, Downtown Crossing.
Other abutting neighborhoods include the beautiful Atlantic
waterfront and The Financial District. Why not walk to work
or at least to South Station? Boston’s transportation
hub is only three minutes from Beach Street and—from
South Station—anywhere in the world is just a T or
a train and then a plane ride away.
